Miss Rose Foundation Review

Welcome to the blog. This is my very first makeup review here, or anywhere as a matter of fact. So I decided to start off with a foundation review, because nothing is ever complete without a firm base right? This blog will be a detailed review on a foundation I’ve been wearing and loving so far. If you beautiful ladies are looking for a foundation that does not have a hefty price tag, this is the way to go. Every girl deserves to feel beautiful in their skin. And as all girls love to play with makeup, it’s not the easiest to get your hands on affordable, good quality cosmetics here in Pakistan, I’ll be honest. Girls such as myself, struggle to find a good, long lasting foundation that will last you your school/college or office hours especially in this humid weather of Karachi. So today, I’ll be reviewing a foundation that not only is budget friendly, but also a life saver. Hope this post helps many girls out there. Let me know if I miss out anything regarding this.

Starting of with the brand. It is produced by Miss Rose- Proffesional Makeup and is named “Purely Natural Foundation”.

Here are a few claims of the foundation (not mentioned on the packaging) that I found from different sources: Nutritious, provides oil control, concealing and color correcting, moisturizing, brightening, natural, long lasting.

Composition: 

Aqua, Decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl, Palmitate, Dimethicone, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Bees Wax, Mathyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Phenoxyethanol.

Pricing, packaging and details:

The foundation retails at 599 pakistani rupees on the official website but can be bought at a much lower price from local shops or fb/instagram pages. It has a thick liquid to mousse like consistency and comes in a glass bottled packaging consisting of 30 ml of product. The bottle comes with a pump, that is not always very reliable considering the consistency that this foundation holds, and a black cap covering it.

Shade Range:

What I personally love about this foundation is that it feels like it is made for us olive-brown skinned Asians, having yellow undertones! So the foundation comes in 8 different shades varying from fair, ivory 6, light, beige 1, beige 2, beige 3, beige 4, beige 5. I bought the foundation in the shade beige 5, realizing later that the foundation oxidizes real quick so I should have gone for beige 4 instead. Even though the shade range is limited, it is still a much better approach than buying white caste foundations that make us look gray. Ughh.

Wearing and coverage:

The foundation can be applied to the face with both a beauty sponge or a brush. I personally prefer using a brush because it gives a much better coverage and then later going on with a beauty sponge to remove any excess product to avoid getting cakey later on. Remember, a little goes a long way for this foundations, I use half-one pump on a regular basis for the whole face or a maximum of 2 pumps if I have an event to go to.

The foundation is surely medium-full coverage and it definitely color corrects pigmentation to a high extent but feels a little heavy on the face because of it’s consistency. Even with being a full coverage foundation, it still leaves your skin glowing and natural looking just as it claims.

I personally am not a fan of sheer or glowing skin when it comes to my face, so I always make sure to set it with powder knowing how hot the weather here is.

This foundation is good for all skin types. My skin is usually combination and I tend to sweat a lot on my face but I kid you not, this foundation lasts a long time with a few touch ups every now and then. I wore it to my brother’s valeema and I have no regrets! It lasts easily for 3-4 hours without touch ups, then starts to crease a little on the laugh lines mostly, that can be saved by dabbing a little face powder and viola. Great quality product for the price we’re paying I’d say. A total recommend.
